Migrated to new ECR Basic Scanning version

We have successfully migrated all managed AWS accounts to the new version of ECR Basic Scanning, which uses Amazon’s native scanning technology.

What Changed

• ECR Basic Scanning: Upgraded from the previous version to AWS_NATIVE scanning technology
• Scan Findings: All container images have been rescanned with the new scanning engine
• Account Setting: Account-level scanning configuration updated via put-account-setting API

Why This Matters

This migration ensures continuity of our container image vulnerability scanning capabilities. Starting February 2, 2026, AWS will discontinue support for the previous version of ECR basic scanning, and all accounts will be automatically upgraded. By migrating proactively, we maintain control over the transition and ensure no disruption to our security scanning workflows.

Action Required

None. The migration has been completed across all affected repositories, and all images have been rescanned with the new scanning technology. Scan findings are now available through the AWS native scanning engine.
