Reducing alert noise, clearer descriptions and runbooks

We’re starting a gradual cleanup of the alerts we ship, based on an internal audit and customer feedback: fewer low-value pings, and clearer information when something does need your attention.

What’s changed so far

• info severity alerts, meant as background signal rather than something to act on, no longer get forwarded to your Slack channel.
• A handful of alerts with unclear, sysadmin-oriented wording have been reworded with plainer descriptions and updated runbook entries.

What’s next

This is a first pass, more improvements will follow gradually as we work through the rest of our alerting rules. If an alert still doesn’t make sense to you, or you feel something important got too quiet, we’d genuinely like to hear about it, get in touch.
