Run Argo Workflows on your cluster, managed by us
#kubernetes #add-on #component #cicd #argo-workflows
You can now run Argo Workflows on your Kubernetes cluster as a platform component. Data pipelines, batch jobs, scheduled tasks: describe them as steps in containers, and Argo runs them. We run Argo itself; you write the workflows.
What you get
- The controller and the UI, on
https://argo.<your cluster domain>, reachable over your VPN only, with single sign-on through your identity provider. - A namespace per team, each with admin, developer and viewer roles mapped to your own groups.
- Artifact storage that just works: one S3 bucket per cluster, a private prefix and IAM role per namespace, and artifacts that expire after 30 days by default.
- Sensible guardrails: workflow pods can’t pick up admin rights, long steps aren’t cut short when Karpenter consolidates nodes, and the control plane is monitored by our on-call like the rest of your platform.
Your workflow definitions stay yours. Deploy them with Flux from your own repository, from CI, or straight from the UI.
What you need to do
Nothing, unless you want it. Argo Workflows is off by default and available from stack release 15.12.0. To turn it on, add an argoWorkflows block to your cluster definition.
